AFP Workbench Viewer
____________________

The Client Access/400 AFP WorkBench Viewer is an optional core
component of Client Access/400. The viewer provides viewing
capabilities to files stored on OS/400 in ASCII text, AFPDS,
and SCS data stream formats. This print viewer is a limited
function version of the IBM AFP Workbench Viewer that allows
the viewing of AS/400 printer output contents.

You can upgrade to the full-function version of the viewer by
following the instructions in the AFP Workbench Viewer's
Upgrade menu. Note that the first 25 times you use the viewer,
you have the ability to use the full-function viewer
capabilities. After the 25th time, the full-function capability
expires and the viewer goes into the viewer lite mode.

The viewer can be installed in one of two ways:
 1. For PCs that currently do not have Client Access/400
installed, the viewer is installed automatically during
    Client Access/400 installation.
 2. For PCs that have upgraded from V3R1M0 to V3R1M1, the
viewer can be installed using the selective install feature.
To access the selective install feature, open the Client
Access/400 Selective Install icon, which is located in the
Client Access/400 folder. Select Client Access/400 AFP
WorkBench Viewer. Select OK to begin the installation.

Graphical Access for OS/2
_________________________

Graphical Access for OS/400 is a comprehensive, graphical
user interface (GUI) for the corresponding OS/400 screens.
With an easy point-and-click interface and your favorite
PC look and feel, Graphical Access modernizes the AS/400.
It requires no retraining, as it uses the same panel flow
and terminology as the familiar OS/400 green screens.

To install Graphical Access, you must use the RSTLICPGM
command and specify product 5763XG1 and option 5.

The following PTFs are REQUIRED for Graphical Access:
  SF22954
  SF22955
  SF22957
  SF24086

There is a known problem in the install program for the
initial shipment of Graphical Access. An incorrect update
statement was getting added for Graphical Access where the
source directory was "I: QPWXGGA". The source directory
should be " MANAGING_SYSTEM QPWXGGA".

If you have Graphical Access installed then follow these steps:
  - Click on the "Client Access/400 Products Registry" icon in
    the "Software Products" group.
  - Select "Graphical Access" component
  - Click on "Selected", "Open", and "Update settings"
  - Select the update entry and click on "Change"
  - Change the "Source directory" value to
    " MANAGING_SYSTEM QPWXGGA"

If you don't have Graphical Access installed, then apply
PTF SF26464 before installing Graphical Access.

Note: All the "" need to be changed to backslashes.
